As we look to accomplish all of our goals for your child this year, we believe that it is our collective responsibility to ensure that every student excels. Each and every day our primary objective is to provide all students with an educationally challenging experience in the classroom.
As you may know, administration of the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) for all 10th graders is quickly approaching (March 12th and 13th). Passage of the CAHSEE is a state requirement for high school graduation. The importance of this test cannot be understated.
As such, we are asking for your help to maintain our high expectations by checking with your son/daughter periodically to make sure that his/her work is being done. Additionally, in order to maintain and improve our current passage rates on the CAHSEE, we are asking that all students taking the exam participate in our CAHSEE Prep Course for the next five Wednesdays from 1 pm to 4pm. The CAHSEE Prep Course will take place at CATCH and taught by our dedicated faculty.
Our commitment is to your child and your child’s future. Our hope is that we will find a partner in each of you so that we may continue to tangibly invest in the lives of our students. Below, please find the schedule for the CAHSEE Prep Course:
February 6th – 1-4pm
February 13th – 1-4pm
February 20th – 1-4pm
February 27th – 1-4pm
March 6th – 1-4pm
Once again, the stakes are high for your child, and it is our belief as a school that passage of the CAHSEE provides students with the confidence and determination to excel for the remainder of their academic career in high school.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this schedule or the importance of passing the CAHSEE, please feel free to contact us.
